Yes, that will be Jeff Burton in the #31 this year.
This has been one of the most disappointing teams NASCAR has seen ever. The only reason Cingular returned was the TV exposure. They knew that the #31 team was the only one they could support, and they probably pushed hard for J. Burton (who used to be very good) to be in the car.
Well, Fox and NBC certainly give that car plenty of exposure because Cingular is buying commercial time on the broadcasts. Personally, I'd rather hear how Jeff Burton is doing than the previous driver of the 31 car (though I know you and a lot of folks here like R. Gordon). Hopefully, Jeff will do some things worthy of the air time this season.
BTW, speaking of RCR, anybody see the rumors on Jayski that Penske might be looking at Kevin Harvick in the future? I thought that was quite interesting. Though I'm not crazy about his attitude the last few years, I think he is a talented driver. He's really not done a whole lot with his RCR ride though. Only 3 or 4 wins in four seasons? Perhaps a change might help out all parties. Miller seems to be pushing to put Newman in Rusty's ride after this season, so from what I read, Penske might offer Harvick the 12 ride.
