From today's Los Angeles Times, referring to the THG/BALCO revelations of Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, Marion Jones, and other athletes:

"Brien Sawyer, a 45-year-old paper hanger [from San Francisco], said he was training his 4-year-old daughter to be a NASCAR fan, figuring there would be less chance of tainted heroes."

Sounds like Princess Leia summoning Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars, doesn't it?

You were our only hope.

Luke then went onto ask obi wan who was the other that yoda referred to.

Obi wan sais something like the other yoda referred to is your twin sister.

And then luke sais but i have no sister and most of you probably know the rest of the conversation and story.

Bryan, maybe the details are slightly wrong, but hopefully you got the point.

Brian, we still haven't seen a big star busted for drug or other crimes, and we still wonder what would happen in that case.

At least when it happens in Nascar, it is still big news and a shock.  With other sports, whenever I hear about it, I think - big deal another one.  Who isn't doing something?
