after reading the story on the #66 of prism motorsports being confiscated by nascar after the california race, it leads me to conculde that the days of start and parkers with "mysterious" mechanical woes will be coming to an end. this all seems ironic as last year, nascar was all excited about all the new teams that the COT were allowing to compete. now, those same teams are being put to the fire for stinking up the show. take all the start and parkers out of the field and you will end up with less than a full field of cars for weekly competition.
sounds like the field will look like the grandstands soon... not very full

I heard about this on XM yesterday and am quite surprised.  Aren't they shooting themselves in the foot by discouraging these teams?  Not that I don't agree with getting people off the track who have no intentions of running the entire race, but NA$CAR has always promoted how they have "48-50" entries each week.  Personally, I'd be perfectly happy with having only 32-36 competitive cars out there.

But, what do I know.  I've stopped trying to figure out any decisions NA$CAR makes any more.   Roll Eyes
