We were listening to Martin's scanner at the end of the race Saturday night and overheard him say something like "I was worred about those dumbass doublefile restarts..." Not sure what else he said as Sirius cut it off after that. I had no idea they censored their driver channels. They don't do that on Trackpass.
Anyway, Mark has it right about those stupid restarts. Near the end, there was one driver up there near the front that looked like he was ready to send someone into the grandstands. Thank goodness that didn't happen. I guess I'm just too old that I don't find the restart making some drivers go insane at the end of the race entertaining. I was SO afraid there was going to be a horrible crash like last week. Accordingly to TV and radio though, "
all the fans" love them." Again, spin seems to have become reality...
But my new simple name for them will be "dumbass restarts." Thanks, Mark!

Other than the mini-big one caused by one driver and the manufactured excitement at the end, what a horrible boring race. I intermittently fell asleep from about 8:30-10:30. Chicago now ranks right down there with CA in producing mind-numbingly boring "racing" IMHO. Without the three "debris" (competition) cautions, the race would've been one of the worst in history. Funny how after the contrived finish, all the callers and talking heads on Sirius/XM are saying "what a great race!" I guess I must've slept through that part...
