Real interesting insights from a former engine builder.  I remember he was building engines for Ricky Rudd at Kenny Bernstein's team when I first started following the sport in 1988.  I particularly love his comments about how the rules limit passing.  Best one is "you can't pass when the sun is shining on the east coast..."  Yeah, that's because they start the races so late these days, the sun usually isn't shining any more on the east coast.   Roll Eyes

I also agree with him about "paying your dues" in late models or lessor series.
