Phil Allaway at has a review that pretty much mirrors my thoughts on all the needless hype and distractions on both ESPN and Fox this past weekend:

I had no idea who the chick was waving the green flag, but it was ridiculous for Fox to continue to show her for many laps after the start, rather than the cars on the track.

The obsession with Angie Harmon is probably the second-lowest point in the history of NASCAR on FOX.  The lowest was when Dale Earnhardt died and FOX did not interrupt a cartoon to tell its viewers live.  I learned of his death from, among all people, Ahmad Rashad!  This was during the NBA on NBC telecast.
