Well, another year of wrong guesses has come to an end. A few people are happy that it ended, a few had a happy ending!

Desmond edges Bill by 7 points to win the second half of the year.

Shawn had already won the first half of the season.

And then Cheryl used her consistency to claim the overall championship for the season.

Congratulations on your big comeback in the 2nd half, Desmond and thank you!

No one was more surprised than me to get the overall year "win."  When I entered the 2nd half scores into the spreadsheet with the first half tally and sorted it, my name went to the top, but I saw some problems with the sort, so I asked Lou to do it again when he published the web page.  I really thought Bill was the winner, not me.  Imagine my surprise when Lou came in the kitchen last night and said "You made a mistake..."  I thought "Oh no!     I screwed up something important..." and then he said "you won!"

You're making me blush, Bill...   Hardly, "the best" this year.  Just call me the Terry Labonte of the 2008 season.  Haha!
