Denis Ryan that they mention is the guy who was kind enough to give Lou and I a tour of the NBC/ESPN TV compound at Richmond several years ago. 

Lately since we've been listening to the radio or driver scanners more during the race to escape DW, the Weasel cam talk, etc., I do find myself missing the race car sounds during Fox broadcasts.  It's a shame there isn't an audio option on your satellite box to just have the car "soundtrack" instead of the announcers.   laugh  I mean when we had the free trial of Hotpass during Daytona, the DVR had three options:  One to hear the Fox broadcast, one to hear the dedicated pit reporter and announcer covering a car and the last was to only hear the driver/team communications.  With that technology available now, certainly there ought to be a way to turn DW off.   Cheesy

That is very complicated stuff.  I'm still trying to wrap my head around all of that, especially the huge playback machine for all the team radios.
