Thats odd. Didn't Evernham join the broadcast team of ABC/ESPN back in 2000, right after he stopped being crew chief for Jeff Gordon? Don't ask me how I remember that. I was only like 10 or 9 years old.

Yes.  This was the year between him leaving the #24 team and returning as one of the charter owners in the revived Dodge program.  Evernham also did occasional work for ESPN last year and has hosted Race Wizard, a show similar to NASCAR performance.
