In the thread linking to the Winston-Salem Journal coverage of Brian France's comments, Mike Mulhern mentioned speculation that Disney may buy NASCAR, which France denied.

But think about it.  If Disney buys NASCAR, could it mean the end of Sprint Cup coverage on FOX and TNT, or the end of Craftsman Truck Series races on SPEED Channel?  Would those events be moved to a new all-NASCAR channel which is similar to NFL Network or NBA TV?

And, finally, if there is an all-NASCAR channel, how many people would be able to watch it?  DirecTV and Dish Network would have room, but what about cable systems?  Would they bump it down to digital tier, requiring an extra fee per month for this channel and other all-sports channels?  Or not at all, as in Time Warner not carrying the NFL Network?
