I don't watch much any more because:

1). The racing is not very compelling
2). Too many cookie cutter tracks
3). The personality has been taken away from the drivers (this may not be shared by all)
4). Too much emphasis on $$
5). Too many multi-car teams and loss of that independent attitude
6). Too many "Official xxx of NASCAR"
7). The chase
Cool. Top 35 rule
9). Loss of tradition

There's probably more, but I'll finish with:

10). Ricky Craven doesn't drive any more...

Welcome back, Seattle Ken!  Join us and post more often!

I also hate how bland the drivers have become away from the track.  The Matt Kenseth cell-phone commercial scenario has unfortunately come true... Sad

Thanks Vivian and Desmond...

I do stop in now and then but I really don't watch much anymore.  I follow it, read the posts here, Jayski, but don't watch much of the races.  For years, Sundays always included a race, taped or live.  Now if the TV is on, I will flick through it to see what's happening during a commercial of the football game.

The only races I still watch are Daytona and the Brickyard.

One of these days, I'm going to invite myself along to a USAR race with a certain couch owner...

01 Nov 08 - Rockingham?  Not quite NW, but pretty darn close.  Plus, I think Robin Belyea is trying to organize an r.a.s.n. reunion there.  Might be a excellent time to make the trip back east.   Grin

And I always knew you were still here "lurking" old friend... laugh

Of course I'm lurking... but be careful... who knows where I can arrange to be on 01 Nov 08.  Might even bring, as my uncle says, "the New Chief"
