The Winston Cup Scene reports this news -

"TRACK CUTS SOME TICKET PRICES
Lowe's Motor Speedway has cut ticket prices for thousands of seats for its fall and spring Nextel Cup races, the Charlotte Business Journal reports. For the Oct. 16 UAW/GM Quality 500, the track has cut prices on all 38,000 seats in its Diamond Tower Terrace in Turn 2, with tickets previously selling at $98 and $110 reduced to $65, $75, $85 and $95. Reductions for next year's Coca-Cola 600 will cover 46,000 seats, or 28 percent of the track's seats. Track officials told the paper the lingering effects of the economic recession and layoffs in area manufacturing industries prompted the changes. But they predict earnings won't be affected because concession and souvenir sales should rise if more fans are attracted. "
