About the Fox rain-delay show yesterday.  Frankly after about 20 minutes, I did put the close-captioning on and "watched" the USAR race on the computer.  You can only see timing and scoring, but at least the rain moved out of Georgia on Sunday so some good racing could happen.  Lou and entertained ourselves by doing our own racing commentary of that race based on brief updates by USAR and timing and scoring.   laugh

Thanks for the link, Cheryl.  He always does a good job.

I turned away about 20 minutes into the broadcast because I didn't want to hear or see their nonsense.  I just kept checking back and then decided to watch the NHRA which was no nonsense.

I don't watch too many races nowadays and no pre race shows at all.  I did tape today and will watch tonight but can fast forward if need be.

Thank you, John!  Fox should have been better prepared for the rain, especially since two other races were postponed before this one was.  If you didn't notice, Fox left the air the moment the rainout was announced, some two hours before the scheduled end had the race been run. Evil

At least all the Fox affiliates did air today's race live.  I was concerned that the West Coast affiliates would air it on tape-delay, which is what happened on Nov. 23, 2001 (Friday) on NBC when it aired the Loudon race when it was postponed because of 9/11.
