Hey Ken in Seattle!

Just saw this on Jayski and thought I would ask you to comment.  Seems like now they are moving the proposed WA track across, or at least half way across, Puget Sound to Bremerton.

I found this to be interesting.

Hey Vivian... I guess you can say that my interest in racing has REALLY waned... It has been a while since I have checked this site.

The "Seattle" track - now officially dead, was never intended to be in Seattle.  There really is no room here.  The original site was some forty miles north near Mt. Vernon, then they decided to move it to Bremerton, across the sound.  Bremerton is accessible from Seattle by a 1 hour ferry boat ride (a very nice ride) or farily long drive south around the sound, over a bridge from Tacoma to the peninsula.

There was one other site floated around in the talks during the legislative session to move the track to Chehalis about 2-3 hours south of Seattle.  Of course, none of these worked and the Seattle track is about as dead as Staten Island, Denver and where ever else.  Speaking of which, they bought the new track at Pikes Peak, only to close it to hope to build a track in Denver??  I don't get it...

Ken, so good to hear from you again.  Wish you would visit more often even if you are not watching the races.  And thanks for that info.  I have been through Chehalis a few times and there would be ample room near there if I remember the area correctly and it is more easily assessible although I will not suffer a broken heart if there is never a big track out here.

And for even more reason not to care... we adopted our dog (Ralph) from the shelter in Chehalis...

We think he is a pure breed "labramutt" or "Ralphador".  Whatever, he is pretty exotic Smiley
