This is an excellent article by a very good friend of ours from the USAR series, Jason Blough, which Lou just posted to our other web site:

We met Jason about 6 years ago at Jennerstown at one of our first USAR races.  We first met the parents of his driver, Eric, on Friday night and it just so happened they are from Maryland, so that was really neat.  There was nothing better for Lou and I than to see the first Marylander to get a win in a major touring series that night at Mansfield in 2003.   Grin  And nothing bigger than the smile on Jason's face when standing there celebrating with his team in Victory Lane.

You'll never meet a nicer bunch of folks than Jason and his family or the Corbetts.  It's so nice to see folks who are not millionaires racing just for the fun of it (unlike in NA$CAR).

Thank you, Lou! Smiley Smiley

This is the essence of our sport, reduced to a human level we can all understand.  As we complain about the big money in big-time racing and how it is affecting the sport we love, let's pause and reflect on what it is really all about...
