I really loved the way Mike Joy explained the new manufacturer in Cup.  Instead of claiming they were American cars because a small portion of them are made in the US, he called them foreign nameplates.  That was excellent!  Bravo, Mike!

And he added one of those nuggets of information that only he could deliver: in 1963, a driver named Smokey Cook drove an MG at Bowman-Gray Stadium, and that was the last foreign car in a NASCAR race until this year.  He even solicited help in getting a picture of the car so that SPEED or FOX could show it on the air!
