BTW, I don't remember noticing what it was that Daisy Duke was driving!! :-D

Hee hee.. I knew that comment was coming..  I guess at the age I was when Dukes was on, cars were cooler than girls.. Wink  Not to say I didn't find her attractive

I had kinda forgotten about her driving a car in the early episodes until I started collecting the series on DVD, and then it all came back.  Up to Season 5 now.. Season 6 just came out in May.. Only 2 more seasons to go!   Also have the first couple seasons of Knight Rider..

Gee, I'm think I'm too much of a car nut..   Wink

And there was at least one episode when Daisy Duke had dreams of competing in NASCAR.  How great would that have been?  Cheesy

Great pictures, Dick!  That looks like one cool truck!  Looks like all your hard work restoring it was certainly worth it.  Congratulations!

Dick, your truck looks great.  Even showed it to Don.  He wonders what motor you have in it.  Said from the looks of the tail pipe it must be stock.

Thank you for sharing.

Right now Don is doing a block for a customer as they are now restoring a Studebaker.  Not sure which one yet.

Cheryl is right.  It is all about cars/trucks around here!

Yep, it is stock. Big flathead 6---80 HP, give or take a bit. It won't look quite as much like a rod once I put the front bumper on.
I'd love to put one of those recent OHC GM 6cyl engines in it, but then I would need suspension and brake upgrades, etc. It is kinda fun as it is. :-D
