A guy on my other list posted a letter received from Jeff Byrd, BMS President & General Manager about the recent weekend.  Part of it seemed to be responding to complaints about the late race start times.  I thought you might find it interesting.  Nothing new, but it sounds like the track managers aren't much happier than the fans about this year's "migration" to later and later start times.  Here's his comments:

"As far as setting earlier race starting times, we can certainly suggest that to NASCAR and FOX.  Unfortunately, we here at Bristol Motor Speedway do not have a say-so in that matter.  The sanctioning body and the TV networks establish all event starting times."
