Wow!  I was really excited when I heard that Nascar now has IT'S OWN THEME MUSIC!  That should really make the racing better this year!  I also noticed that there is already talk about moving the Daytona 500 to the end of the season next year so cap the "Not a playoff" run.  Is'nt that a bit presumputous?  We haven't run a points race yet this year, don't know whether there will be a huge surge in viewers during footbball season, nad we're making plans to re-do the schedule?  I thought Nascar was going to make sure they had the next great idea instead of the next New Coke.  Does this sound like a done deal, folks?

Guess we won't hear it until the 500. Hope  it fits the occasion!

I'm thinking that since we are already talking about moving the 500 to the end of the year, perhaps we should think about booking a half-time show now.  We could probably get Britney Spears, since she's such a huge fan of (squeezing herself into a child-size fire suit) racing.  And can you imagine what the cheerleaders will look like in their mini-skirt fire suits? With all of those half-naked women running around, perhaps there will finally be a use for all of those Viagra ads.

And since we're so concerned with competing with football, shouldn't we have a Thanksgiving Day race?  And don't forget the parade!!  Hey, they can just run the Thanksgiving Day race at Michigan or California and have the parade and race all in one!!  And of course Santa Claus can drive the pace car!!

Martinigirl, you are sick, demented person. Will you marry me?

Oh, wait a minute. Small problem here. Cheryl won't let me....

Now that your prophecies have come true, are you switching from that loser 20 car over to the superior 8 car?

Well of course Lou!!  Now that I have been "educated" on this new points system and understand that all it means is that Jr is going to win the championship, of course I am smart enough to support him.

Actually, though, I dumped Tony a few tantrums ago.  You can only make excuses for your driver for so long before you realize that he's just a jerk.  Yes, he's matured a bit, but we grew apart.  I support only the super powered one now.  And hey, with all those clones running around, I may have a chance with him.  Ha ha!

How could you desert Tony?  He is a great whiner!  Besides, Jr likes him so we should, too.  Serioulsy, he did carry the complaint about John Andretti a bit far, but he was genuinely happy for Jr yesterday.  Go, Tony!

Nah, I like Tony just fine, as long as he stays behind Jr.  Ha ha!!  Seriously, though.  I don't have anything against Tony, and am still happy for him when he wins, I just don't root for him unless Jr doesn't have a chance to win.  You know, in football talk, Tony is my second string, not my starter!!

Yes, the John Andretti bashing was a bit much, but that's Tony.  We can't complain when drivers use cupspeak, and then get mad when they don't.  I was a bit shocked, but hey, I'm glad he still speaks his mind.

Go Jr.  Nice Busch win, too.

Now that you mention it, I don't really know.  They played a lot of (bad) music.  Hmmm.
