Hi guys, I'm a new member here. My name is Bobby, and I'm 19 years old from Phoenix, AZ. No, I'm not one of those "New Age" NASCAR fans. I'm actually quite old-school, believe it or not. My favorite track is Darlington, and I miss North Wilkesboro to death.

Thats why I'm showing you guys a website I found a little while ago dedicated to Wilkesboro. http://www.savethespeedway.com is a site dedicated to getting the owners to reopen the track/sell it, and get some form of racing back there. It would be a PERFECT track for USAR, ARCA, ASA, Busch, and Trucks.

I've browsed these forums for a while, and I know many of you love "tradition" in NASCAR, so I figured this site would be right up your alley.

Hi Bobby, and WELCOME!  Glad you decided to join us and I am looking forward to more input by you.

Thanks for the link.  I will have to check it out more thoroughly later.

I finally got a chance to check out that site, Bobby, but couldn't get the link to work.  I happened to find the link on laidbackracing.com.  You just got your "coms" and "nets' mixed up.  An easy mistake!  Here's the link:

I'm very interested in getting some other series to race at such a wonderful short track.  I was fortunate enough to attend the last three races there and they were great ones.

Also, have you seen the petition at laidbackracing.com to save Darlington?   Here's the link:

http://www.petitiononline.com/SDR/petition.html

Again, great to have you on board, Bobby!  You've had some great posts already!

Here's an interesting article that Lou found today about the group trying to save North Wilkesboro:

Let's hope they are able to wrestle it away from Bahre and Smith!   Cheesy   We're still trying to verify the statement about a Letter of Intent from USAR, but if they ran there, it would certainly be awesome!
