So NASCAR's regular season has higher ratings than the playoffs, unlike the other sports?

Why not do what IndyCar says it will do next year: shorten the season!  And while we're at it, hold the season only on "real" race tracks like Charlotte, Darlington, Richmond, Bristol, Rockingham, and North Wilkesboro?  Don't like Daytona and Talladega, but keep them on the schedule for old times sake.  Michigan and Sonoma/Watkins Glen could round out the season.

Everything's done by the start of football season, the drivers and crew members spend a lot more time with their families, and the TV networks get higher average ratings. Cheesy

Oops, sorry.  Makes too much sense.

I read somewhere yesterday that they might actually take the trucks up your way next year.  Can't remember where, but I'm hoping it will be a short track!   :-D

Cheryl, I would love to see the trucks run the road course at Mid Ohio. Won't happen, I suppose, because it is too close to Mansfield where there is a truck race already, but it is a neat place to go to watch a race, and the competition should be good. Oh well,...
