I was talking to a racefan recently and he said who's gonna or who would pay to watch nascar.

He said he wouldn't.

I know over a 3 year period the june pocono race was shown on pay per view.

I wonder how much it cost back then.

I'll bet if nascar ever went to pay per view which i doubt if they would.

Cause the last time nascar went to pay per view they were heavily criticized for it.

And i don't think a lot of people ordered the pay per view it wasn't a success.

So i don't think nascar will ever go to pay per view again.

But if nascar were to ever go back to pay per view it would probably cost a lot more than it did back in 1990.

Cause i think wrestling pay per views were at 1 time 20 or 25 dollars maybe less and from what someone told me just to order 1 wrestling pay per view it is 40 bucks at least.

I could be wrong about that but i think that's what the person told me.

Can you people imagine paying 35 or 40 bucks each week just to see a race?

I know i wouldn't do it.

Me neither Bryan..

I love my NASCAR but I wouldn't pay for any race other than Bristol or Martinsville..

Even the NASCAR IN-CAR deal.  It's cool (had it for free for a while there) but up here the package runs about $130 (I think it was) a year so it's a bit steep.  It was neat to have but a lot of times the drivers weren't saying much so it was kinda boring.. It did give you something to watch during the commercials!

If Nascar comes down to pay per view, I will be watching races at the nearest local adult beverage establishment that is willing to fork over the $$ for it.  Period.

I hope it never comes down to that. I cannot even afford Speed Channel, let alone premium channels.

This is another no vote to pay-per-view.
