Here's a really interesting article from Mike Mulhern.  It has seemed to me like Ganassi hasn't been getting all the technology from Dodge for the last couple years, so this may explain it.  Also the games Toyota is playing with NASCAR.  Funny, the American manufacturers don't seem to play these same games with NASCAR or their teams (and I really consider "Dahmler-Chrysler" as a non-American company these days).

And Mike Mulhern adds that Toyota has been given a deadline extension to submit a possible Busch Series car body to NASCAR.  

I guess that tells you how determined NASCAR is to have Toyota cars on the track.  No doubt it is capitalizing on Toyota's impressive sales figures compared to Chevy, Ford and even the "German make" Dodge.
