Did anyone who post here know that england had an ovat track and town i think named rockingham is this correct?

I think they had financial troubles there with that track.

But cart did race there in 2001 the week after alex zanardi had his bad crash.

Yes they had a track with that name in England, Bryan. I don't remember how many races they ran there.

Nope.  Didn't make my first visit to Rockingham until 1994 for the Busch championship finale that year (when David Green won the championship).  Didn't go there for a Winston Cup race until fall 1997.

That fall 1997 race wasn't that the 1 that was rained out and ran on a monday it was delayed for awhile monday too but i think if i remember right bobby hamilton won.

Cheryl didn't you tell me 1 time that on sunday the day that race was rained out that you were listening on the scanner and you heard eli gold already saying something about the race being postponed before tnn even came on air that day.

I'm not Cheryl but I was there for that race also (imagine that). Yep, it was sometime in the morning maybe 10-11 am when we heard then rehearsing/recording the message. Heck for all we know, by the time TV came on and showed it the the viewers, Eli and crew might not have even been in the same state!

I'm sure they were in the same state maybe they weren't at the track.

Maybe they were in the suites or something?

Or maybe they were in their rv's or something?

Only eli and the tnn crew know for sure.
