I noticed that the ratings for the past 2 broadcasts have been down slightly...a glitch in the works.  It does make me wonder if all those new fans are losing interest with 2 of Nascar's top drivers (Jeff Gordon and Jr.) out of the crapshoot for now.  I assume that JG will get back into it, but things look bleak for Jr.  If having him out of the running might make NBC decide that this 'new and improved' champeenship isn't the blockbuster they expected, then I hope both of them continue to have problems!  Maybe NBC would decide that having a 36 race title, no one locked out of the top 10 till the end of the year, was the right way to do things.

OK, so I'm delusional, but it's nice to think about!

Not exactly the scenario the TV networks wanted, huh?  Then again, that's why Sally called it the crapshoot.

Just ask the NBA.  LeBron James, the future of pro basketball, has never made the playoffs.
