Cheryl inched past Vicki at the line to get the win this week by only ONE point.  She finished 47th in the nation, with Vicki finishing 51st, and Desmond 7 points back for 3rd in our group and 77th in the nation.  Good job to all of us!  With her win coupled with bad finishes by Clay and Bill this week, Cheryl moves up to 2nd YTD.  Vicki still has the lead though, 33 ahead of Cheryl.  Clay drops to 3rd YTD and is now 46 points behind Vicki.  With his strong 4th place finish this week, Lou FINALLY moves out of the basement, but is still 8th overall YTD.  Thanks to everyone for playing.  Next up, one of NASCAR's crown jewels, the Southern 500!

Well Desmond survived the carnage at Bristol to bring home the victory in our group and 94th in the nation!  Awesome job, Des!  Vicki was just 9 points behind in 2nd, and Bill 20 back in 3rd in our group.  Keith and Richie had a photo finish back in 7th this week.  With her strong 2nd place finish, Vicki moves into the 2nd Half YTD Lead!  Way to go, Vicki!  Clay drops to 2nd, but is only 5 points behind.  Bill's strong finish moves him up to 3rd YTD and is only 25 behind Vicki.  Cheryl drops to 4th YTD.  Keith remains in 5th and Desmond in 6th (although he closed up a lot in points on the leader).  Lou had a decent finish this week, but it was still not enough to move him out of the cellar in the 2nd Half.  But he has moved to within a single point of Diane who remains 10th YTD.  As always, thanks to everyone for playing!  Next up, the high speeds of Michigan!

Those darn Fuquays… Keith pulls out of his 2nd half slump to grab his first win, followed closely by Vicki! Clay is still holding his own quite well and comes home 3rd this week. Cheryl and Lou round out the top 5. Bill spun out on the bus stop and never recovered. Bill's bad day and Clay's good one allowed the Funk Express to retake the overall lead! Vicki also moved up 2 spots from 4th to 2nd overall. Lead changes are good for the sport! Take a week of to enjoy the Olympics, we'll see you all wrecking agin at Bristol! Thanks for playing.

Bill wasn't to be denied by rain or fog to bring home this week in our group and 48th in the nation!  Awesome job, Bill!  Vicki was 2nd, just 7 points behind and 71st in the nation.  Cheryl was 3rd, 12 points back and 81st in the nation.  Bill's win moves him past Clay and back into the 2nd Half YTD lead.  Clay is hanging in there in 2nd, just 16 points behind Bill.  Cheryl and Vicki's strong finishes moved them up to 3rd and 4th YTD.  Cheryl is now just 31 points behind Bill and Vicki is just 46 back.  Unfortunately Lou's Season from Hell continues as he continues to be last in the YTD standings.  Perhaps the road course at Watkins Glen will help him get out of the deep hole he has dug for himself so far.  As always, thanks to everyone for playing!

Another new winner for the 2nd half of the season. 4 races, 4 winners. Cheryl pulls out the victory by +9 points over Clay. Her good day moved her up in the 2nd half standings as well, from 6th to 4th. Clay's consistency this half is rewarded with the top spot in the 2nd half standings! The previous leader, Richie had a bad day at Indy, finishing last this week and dropping from 1st to 5th in the standings. Lou had a small victory by finishing 3rd this week but still holds down last place in our league. Other changes on the standings saw Bill go from 4th to 2nd and Vicky dropped a spot from 5th to 6th. Thanks for playing! Pocono is next on the agenda.

Richie stayed out of the wrecks and drove away from the field to get the win in our group this week and 41st in the nation!  Great job, Richie!  Cheryl was 2nd, edging out Keith at the line by a single point, 5 points behind Richie and 62nd in the nation.  Keith had to settle for 3rd, 6 points back and 68th in the nation.  With his win this week, Richie takes over the 2nd Half YTD lead and jumps up to 51st in the nation!  Clay drops to 2nd and is now 16 points out of the lead.  Desmond drops to 3rd and is 24 points behind.  Bill remains in 4th, 26 points back.  Vicki remains in 5th, 55 points back.  Cheryl stays in 6th, but gains a few points on the leader and is now only 59 back.  Keith remains in 7th, but also gains a bit and is now only 66 back.  Unfortunately Diane and Lou are still mired back in 8th and 9th, 128 and 181 points out of the lead.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  We head to another boring track for stock cars, Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Good luck to us all there!

Clay is ON it in the 2nd half!  He got the win in our group this week and 30th in the entire nation!  Imagine if he hadn't missed the Daytona 500!  Cheryl was just 9 points behind in 2nd and Keith a bit farther back in 3rd in our group.  Unfortunately Lou seems to have been swept in a wreck with all the rookies and DNFd this week.  Whoops!  Vicki and Bill had a photo finish back in 7th this week.  With his strong finish last week and win this week, Clay takes over the 2nd Half YTD lead in our group and is 63rd in the nation!  Awesome job, Clay!  Desmond drops to 2nd YTD, but is only 7 points out of the lead.  Richie remains in 3rd, but is only 10 points back now.  Bill drops to 4th, but is only 21 back.  Vicki is 5th, but is now 48 points behind Clay.  Cheryl moves up to 6th, 64 back; Keith is WAY back in 7th, 70 points back; Diane is 8th, 85 back.  Lou is barely hanging onto the pack at the tailend in 9th, 160 points out of the lead.  But it's a long season, so anything can happen.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  Next week onto New Hamp-bore-ya!

Although it looked like a few of us got swept up in the Big One, Desmond stayed out of trouble and got the win this week and 40th in the entire nation!  Awesome job, Desmond!  Bill continues his streak of strong finishes when he's actually AT Daytona, finishing 2nd and only 11 points out of the lead. Must be some insider information he learned while there.  The Birthday Boy also places 61st in the nation!  Richie was 3rd and just 20 points back in our group and 85th in the nation.  Good job to all of you!  Looks like Cheryl and Lou fell victims of all the carnage, finishing in the last two spots in our group.  So with his win this week, Desmond has the 2nd Half YTD Lead!  Great job!  Next week, we're onto what has traditionally been a boring track in Kentucky.  Perhaps the repaving and addition of some banking will help, but that remains to be seen.  Thanks to everyone for joining for the 2nd Half of the Speedcouch Fantasy League season!

Diane smoked the field on her way to her 2nd win of the season and 23rd in the nation this week!  Awesome job, Diane!!!  Bill tried to catch her vain and finished 2nd, just 4 points back.  Lou was a distant 3rd and 14 points back.  Keith and Clay had a photo finish for 5th.  Despite her dismal 7th place finish this week, Cheryl was able to hold and get the 1st Half YTD win, finishing 10th in the nation!  Keith finished 2nd, just 15 points back and 16th in the nation.  Lou was 3rd, 35 back and 28th in the nation.  Vicki was 4th, 125 back and 79th in the nation.  Overall, we had several of the top players in the nation, with 4 of us finishing in the top 100 in the universe. Let's give ourselves all a big pat on the back!  Now get in there and pick your all "new" team for the Daytona race this weekend!  The 2nd half of the season begins Saturday night, so lets make sure we all get a strong team for the next part of the season.  Thanks to everyone SO much for playing!

Bill seems to like the new "package" as he brought home the victory in our group this week and 21st in the nation!  Awesome job, Bill!  Desmond was just a bit behind in 2nd and 51st in the nation.  Cheryl finished 3rd and 58th in the nation.  With her strong finish, coupled with a stumble by Keith, Cheryl retakes the YTD lead and is now 16 points ahead of Keith.  Lou remains in 3rd, but drops 39 points behind Cheryl.  With just ONE race left in the first half of the season, it's still a tight battle.  To get ready for the final race at Sears Point, we have a week off to rest up and study our picks for the tricky road course.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  Enjoy Fathers Day and your week off!
