Well it came down to the very last week of the 1st Half, but Keith FINALLY got a win in our group and 47th in the nation.  Good job, Keith!  Diane continued her good run with 2nd this week and 136th in the nation, just 21 points back.  Cheryl was 3rd in our group, 25 points back.  Despite a mediocre finish this week, Lou was able to hold off both Desmond and Vicki to score the 1st Half YTD win and finish 23rd in the entire universe.  Desmond also ran off-course at Sears Point and Vicki was able to take advantage to finish 2nd YTD, just 36 points behind Lou and 36th in the nation.  Desmond ended up 3rd YTD, 45 points back and 39th in the nation.  Diane was able to pass Bill in the last corner this week to bring home 4th YTD and 72nd in the nation.  Bill fell to 5th YTD and 73rd in the nation.  Cheryl stayed in 5th place in our group and finished 79th YTD in the world.  Clay just couldn't overcome those few bad weeks in the middle of the half and had to settle for 6th in our group and a dismal 220 in the naton.  Keith brought up the tail of the field, finishing a solid 8th out of 8 and 231 in the nation.  The 2nd Half of the Speedcouch Fantasy League kicks off this weekend at Daytona.  Remember you must pick a COMPLETE new team from the 2nd Half groups at Collective Racing.  And, based on the groups Jim has compiled, this half is going to be VERY challenging for all of us!  Congratulations to Lou on his win, but remember, the slate is clean now and the rest of us are coming for you in the 2nd half!  As always, thanks to everyone for playing!

Diane got the win in our group this week and was #1 in the entire universe!  Awesome job, Diane!  Her sister, Vicki, was just 6 points back in 2nd and placed 33rd in the nation.  Clay and the Funk Express continue steaming right ahead, with a 3rd place finish this week, 99th in the nation and just 26 points behind Diane.  Despite a mediocre finish this week, Lou keeps his stranglehold on the YTD lead and with only one race left in the 1st half of the season, it looks unlikely anyone can catch him.  Desmond remains 2nd, but is now 38 points back.  Vicki remains in 3rd and closes up a bit as she is now only 41 points back.  After her mid-season surge, Cheryl continues to drop like a rock.  With her win, Diane passes her for 5th YTD.  Keith continues his fall as he continues in last and is now 558 points behind Lou.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  Just to mix up things in the last race of the 1st half, we move to the twisty-turns of Sears Point this weekend.  Good luck to all!

Well Desmond held off a lot of past champions, just like Ryan Blaney did, to get the win our group this week and a phenominal 4th in the entire Universe!  Fantastic job, Desmond!  Clay was right on his heels, finishing 2nd, just 3 points back and 11th in the nation.  Bill was a strong 3rd in our group, just 10 points back and 25th in the nation.  Several of our group had high finishes.  Unfortunetly, Cheryl and Keith weren't among them, finishing 7th and 8th this week.  Desmond's win allows him to significantly cut into Lou's lead.  While he remains in 2nd, Desmond is now only 29 points behind Lou.  Vicki remains in 3rd, just 70 points back.  Bill's strong finish coupled with Cheryl's dismal day allows Bill to move into 4th YTD, just 130 behind Lou.  Clay's strong 2nd place finish finally moves the Funk Express out of last and he chugs right past Keith who has now dropped to dead last in our group.  With only two more races in the 1st half of the season, the lead looks to be pretty close, with several competitors breathing down Lou's neck.  As always, thanks to everyone for playing!  Next up, we head to the Motor City of Michigan!

Bill finally gets a big W this season! A nice 25th in the world ranking too! Good job Bill! He beat out Diane by just 8 points, but that's all he needed. Vicki is trying to get back to the top and came home in third, just 11 behind Bill and jumping over Cheryl for 3rd YTD. Desmond grabbed 4th and then there were the rest of us. Sadly, Keith sits in last place again and is narrowly ahead of Clay for the overall YTD bottom of the standings position. Odds are that they will switch spots next race. Only 3 more races left in the first half with Pocono next on the schedule. Good luck everyone and thanks for playing.

Well the Funk Express was definitely on track at Charlotte Sunday night!  Clay won in our group and scored 25th in the entire nation!  Boom-shakka-lakka, Clay!  Desmond and Cheryl had a photo finish for 2nd, just 9 points back and 39th in the nation.  Lou must've run out of gas with 2 laps to go as he DNFd this week.  Lou retains the YTD lead, but the strong finish by all those right behind has his lead shrinking a bit.  Desmond remains in 2nd, but is now only 80 points behind Lou.  Cheryl passes Vicki and moves into 3rd, now 103 points back.  Vicki drops to 4th, but is still only 109 points back.  Clay's win doesn't seem to have helped him out of the hole he's dug himself into.  He's still last in our group, though he did gain a few points on Keith who is next to last.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  Next up, The Monster Mile!

Desmond put a whopping on us all at Kansas. A comanding 30 point margin over Lou, with Clay 33 back in third. Vicki grabbed 4th and Bill got 5th. Good job Desmond! Your big win leapfrogged you over Cheryl and Vicki in the standings to go from 4th place to being in 2nd place overall - 134 points back of Lou. Vicki stayed in 3rd place but Cheryl dropped from 2nd to 4th with her poor finish. Clay's good race helped him gain points on Keith but he stilll holds down last place in the standings. With Keith's recent bad luck, one more race might be all Clay needs to drop Keith to the bottom! Everyone take a week off! We'll be back in action for the Coke 600 race!

Despite his efforts to beat Cheryl this week (and a lot of plotting with Clay at the bar Friday night), Lou did not beat Cheryl.  They actually TIED for the win!  Not quite sure how that happened since they had at least two different drivers, but I guess the new whacky points system had something to do with it.  So, technically Cheryl has a FOUR week winning streak going.  She and Lou also finished 22nd in the nation.  Vicki was just 7 points behind in 3rd and 38th in the nation.  Keith seems to have been swept up in the big wreck as he DNFd this week.  Even Clay beat him!  Lou maintains the YTD lead, but is now 2nd in the entire nation!  Cheryl is still 104 points back and 28th in the nation.  Vicki's strong finish places her 38th in the nation.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  We're onto another one of those "new" boring 1 1/2 mile tracks at Kansas next week.

Well Cheryl is have definitely got her groove back, scoring her 3rd win in a row and 16th in the nation this week.  Desmond was 2nd, 12 points back, and Bill had a strong 3rd place finish, 19 points back.  Keith and Vicki had a photo finish this week.  Unfortunately it was for last place.  Her win, coupled with Vicki's stumble has allowed Cheryl to pass Vicki and move into 2nd YTD, now just 104 points behind Lou.  He better watch out as Cheryl will soon draft by him for the lead like a tandem at Talladega.  Speaking of Talladega, it's coming up next Sunday, so I'm sure our standings will have a big shake-up after that crapshoot.  As always, thanks to everyone for playing!

Well Cheryl's resurgence continues with her 2nd consecutive win this week and 18th in the nation.  Bill and his Wasted Knights were just 4 points back in 2nd and 27th in the nation.  Desmond was just 6 behind Cheryl in 3rd this week and 31st in the nation.  Unfortunately, Vicki DNFd this week, allowing Lou to lengthen his lead to 107 over her.  Cheryl's win allows her to pass Diane and move into 3rd YTD, now only 135 behind Lou.  This week we get back-to-back short tracks as the Series moved to Richmond!  Thanks to everyone for playing!

Well Cheryl went from the outhouse to the penthouse this week, kinda like Jimmie Johnson (her secret weapon).  She got her 1st win of the season and finished 2nd in the entire nation!  Desmond was 10 points back in 2nd and 11th in the nation.  Lou was 3rd, 39 points back.  On the other hand, it seems like the Funk Express dropped to the basement again, finishing last this week.  Whoops!  With his strong finish coupled with a 5th by Vicki, Lou retakes the YTD lead, by 37 points.  Diane remains in 3rd, 102 points back.  With her win, Cheryl jumps all the way up to 4th, 169 points back.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  Let's take a week off now and celebrate Easter.  See you back at Bristol in two weeks!
