Desmond put a whopping on us all at Kansas. A comanding 30 point margin over Lou, with Clay 33 back in third. Vicki grabbed 4th and Bill got 5th. Good job Desmond! Your big win leapfrogged you over Cheryl and Vicki in the standings to go from 4th place to being in 2nd place overall - 134 points back of Lou. Vicki stayed in 3rd place but Cheryl dropped from 2nd to 4th with her poor finish. Clay's good race helped him gain points on Keith but he stilll holds down last place in the standings. With Keith's recent bad luck, one more race might be all Clay needs to drop Keith to the bottom! Everyone take a week off! We'll be back in action for the Coke 600 race!

Despite his efforts to beat Cheryl this week (and a lot of plotting with Clay at the bar Friday night), Lou did not beat Cheryl.  They actually TIED for the win!  Not quite sure how that happened since they had at least two different drivers, but I guess the new whacky points system had something to do with it.  So, technically Cheryl has a FOUR week winning streak going.  She and Lou also finished 22nd in the nation.  Vicki was just 7 points behind in 3rd and 38th in the nation.  Keith seems to have been swept up in the big wreck as he DNFd this week.  Even Clay beat him!  Lou maintains the YTD lead, but is now 2nd in the entire nation!  Cheryl is still 104 points back and 28th in the nation.  Vicki's strong finish places her 38th in the nation.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  We're onto another one of those "new" boring 1 1/2 mile tracks at Kansas next week.

Well Cheryl is have definitely got her groove back, scoring her 3rd win in a row and 16th in the nation this week.  Desmond was 2nd, 12 points back, and Bill had a strong 3rd place finish, 19 points back.  Keith and Vicki had a photo finish this week.  Unfortunately it was for last place.  Her win, coupled with Vicki's stumble has allowed Cheryl to pass Vicki and move into 2nd YTD, now just 104 points behind Lou.  He better watch out as Cheryl will soon draft by him for the lead like a tandem at Talladega.  Speaking of Talladega, it's coming up next Sunday, so I'm sure our standings will have a big shake-up after that crapshoot.  As always, thanks to everyone for playing!

Well Cheryl's resurgence continues with her 2nd consecutive win this week and 18th in the nation.  Bill and his Wasted Knights were just 4 points back in 2nd and 27th in the nation.  Desmond was just 6 behind Cheryl in 3rd this week and 31st in the nation.  Unfortunately, Vicki DNFd this week, allowing Lou to lengthen his lead to 107 over her.  Cheryl's win allows her to pass Diane and move into 3rd YTD, now only 135 behind Lou.  This week we get back-to-back short tracks as the Series moved to Richmond!  Thanks to everyone for playing!

Well Cheryl went from the outhouse to the penthouse this week, kinda like Jimmie Johnson (her secret weapon).  She got her 1st win of the season and finished 2nd in the entire nation!  Desmond was 10 points back in 2nd and 11th in the nation.  Lou was 3rd, 39 points back.  On the other hand, it seems like the Funk Express dropped to the basement again, finishing last this week.  Whoops!  With his strong finish coupled with a 5th by Vicki, Lou retakes the YTD lead, by 37 points.  Diane remains in 3rd, 102 points back.  With her win, Cheryl jumps all the way up to 4th, 169 points back.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  Let's take a week off now and celebrate Easter.  See you back at Bristol in two weeks!

Well somebody made a fantastic comeback this week.  Looks like the Funk Express got back on the railroad tracks behind Martinsville Speedway!  Clay finished 9th in the entire universe!!!  Bill was just 5 points back in 2nd this week.  Vicki made up the most significant move this week, finishing 3rd and just 13 points behind Clay.  Her solid run allowed her to nudge Lou at the line and take over the YTD lead!!!  Unfortunately, it's still a very tight race as Lou is just ONE point behind in 2nd.  Diane remains in 3rd, but is only 73 points behind her sister now.  Clay's win helped him some, but he still has a LOT make up as he's still 350 points out of the lead in last.  Next week we go to another boring 1 1/2 mile track at Texas.  Thanks to everyone for playing!

Well, we have a big winner this week! Vicki was 1st in the universe! Congratulations!!!! You also cut 19 points off Lou's lead but he finished in 2nd and maintaned the YTD lead. Bill's good 3rd place finish also vaulted him up two spots in the standings from 6th to 4th place overall. Diane took home 4th this week and Cheryl continued her slow crawl back to the top. Her 5th place this week moved her up from 7th to 6th YTD. Desmond had a mediocre race and his 6th place cost him a spot in the YTD also. Something happened to Keith and Clay. Bad races for them both. Perhaps they partied too much the night before the race? Keith drops 2 spots in the overall standings down to 7th but Clay has a firm grip on dead last. Sorry guys. Better luck next week. Make sure all your drivers made the race :-) On to Martinsville.

Diane used pit strategy to steal the win from Lou this week and get 38th in the nation.  Awesome job, Diane!  Lou was just two points back in 2nd and 45th in the nation  Desmond was 28 behind Diane in 3rd in our group and 148th in the nation.  Vicki faltered just a bit this week, getting a photo finish with Bill for 4th, 35 behind her sister, Diane.  While Cheryl wasn't last this week, her bad luck continues.  But she did at least beat Clay who brought last place this week.  Lou's strong 2nd place finish, coupled with Vicki's 4th allows Lou to increase his lead over Vicki YTD.  Diane's win allows her to draft past Desmond into 3rd YTD, 71 points out of the lead.  Desmond drops to 4th, 77 points back.  Clay's DNF this week allows Cheryl to pass him and move up into 7th YTD.  We have a real tight battle for last place now.  :- )  Just one more boring west coast race next week at  Cali-bore-ya.  Thanks to everyone for playing!

Vicki is on a roll!  She won her 2nd consecutive race this week, finishing 84th in the naton!  Awesome job, Vicki!  Lou was just a bit behind in 2nd, 4 points back and 90th in the nation.  Filling out the podium was Keith in 3rd, 12 points back and 109th in the nation.  Cheryl and Clay appeared to get into it at the end battling for last, but Clay prevailed, beating Cheryl by 5 points.  Thankfully no fisticuffs occurred afterwards in the pits.  Lou maintains the YTD lead, but with her win this week, Vicki edges ever closer.  She is now only 16 points behind Lou in 2nd.  Desmond maintains 3rd posiiton, 51 points back.  Diane stays in 4th, but Keith is closing in on her from 5th, just one point back now.  Clay's 7th place finish this week drops him back to 6th YTD.  Bill moves from last to 7th YTD and Cheryl drops to last YTD.  She decided to give everyone else a head start this week, so when NASCAR gets to some good tracks, she can make a miraculous comeback.  ;-)  Thanks to everyone for playing.  Next week, another boring west coast track at Phoenix.

Vicki was very fast and avoided any pit road penalties at Atlanta to grab her first win of the new season! Nice going Cinnamon Girl! Lou had a second strong race and finished 2nd, followed by Diane, Bill, and Desmond. Poor Cheryl had a bad week and brought up the rear of the field. Lou's consecutive good races keep him firmly in the #1 spot overall but Vicki closed the gap a lot and now sits in second.  Sadly, Bill still is last overall but he too gained a lot of places in the standings.  Next up is Las Vegas and the Kobalt Tools 400. Good luck everyone!
