Well, we have a big winner this week! Vicki was 1st in the universe! Congratulations!!!! You also cut 19 points off Lou's lead but he finished in 2nd and maintaned the YTD lead. Bill's good 3rd place finish also vaulted him up two spots in the standings from 6th to 4th place overall. Diane took home 4th this week and Cheryl continued her slow crawl back to the top. Her 5th place this week moved her up from 7th to 6th YTD. Desmond had a mediocre race and his 6th place cost him a spot in the YTD also. Something happened to Keith and Clay. Bad races for them both. Perhaps they partied too much the night before the race? Keith drops 2 spots in the overall standings down to 7th but Clay has a firm grip on dead last. Sorry guys. Better luck next week. Make sure all your drivers made the race :-) On to Martinsville.

Diane used pit strategy to steal the win from Lou this week and get 38th in the nation.  Awesome job, Diane!  Lou was just two points back in 2nd and 45th in the nation  Desmond was 28 behind Diane in 3rd in our group and 148th in the nation.  Vicki faltered just a bit this week, getting a photo finish with Bill for 4th, 35 behind her sister, Diane.  While Cheryl wasn't last this week, her bad luck continues.  But she did at least beat Clay who brought last place this week.  Lou's strong 2nd place finish, coupled with Vicki's 4th allows Lou to increase his lead over Vicki YTD.  Diane's win allows her to draft past Desmond into 3rd YTD, 71 points out of the lead.  Desmond drops to 4th, 77 points back.  Clay's DNF this week allows Cheryl to pass him and move up into 7th YTD.  We have a real tight battle for last place now.  :- )  Just one more boring west coast race next week at  Cali-bore-ya.  Thanks to everyone for playing!

Vicki is on a roll!  She won her 2nd consecutive race this week, finishing 84th in the naton!  Awesome job, Vicki!  Lou was just a bit behind in 2nd, 4 points back and 90th in the nation.  Filling out the podium was Keith in 3rd, 12 points back and 109th in the nation.  Cheryl and Clay appeared to get into it at the end battling for last, but Clay prevailed, beating Cheryl by 5 points.  Thankfully no fisticuffs occurred afterwards in the pits.  Lou maintains the YTD lead, but with her win this week, Vicki edges ever closer.  She is now only 16 points behind Lou in 2nd.  Desmond maintains 3rd posiiton, 51 points back.  Diane stays in 4th, but Keith is closing in on her from 5th, just one point back now.  Clay's 7th place finish this week drops him back to 6th YTD.  Bill moves from last to 7th YTD and Cheryl drops to last YTD.  She decided to give everyone else a head start this week, so when NASCAR gets to some good tracks, she can make a miraculous comeback.  ;-)  Thanks to everyone for playing.  Next week, another boring west coast track at Phoenix.

Vicki was very fast and avoided any pit road penalties at Atlanta to grab her first win of the new season! Nice going Cinnamon Girl! Lou had a second strong race and finished 2nd, followed by Diane, Bill, and Desmond. Poor Cheryl had a bad week and brought up the rear of the field. Lou's consecutive good races keep him firmly in the #1 spot overall but Vicki closed the gap a lot and now sits in second.  Sadly, Bill still is last overall but he too gained a lot of places in the standings.  Next up is Las Vegas and the Kobalt Tools 400. Good luck everyone!

Welcome back! The usual mayhem and unpredictability dominated Daytona and I'm sure most of our team picks had plenty of DNF's in them! Lou managed to get a few more guesses better than the rest of us and starts of the 2017 season with a win!  He ended last season with a win too so he could be getting his groove back after a dismal 2016. Desmond was close behind in second place with Clay having a strong start in third. The rest of the field was a bit further behind. I'm sure we'll ALL do better in Atlanta next week when our best guessing skills come into play. :-) Thanks for coming back and having some fun with us this year!

Lou pulled an amazing victory out this week just like Jimmie Johnson!  AND he finished 2nd in the entire universe!  Great job!  Desmond was 2nd in our group, 67 points back.  Vicki was 3rd, 78 points back.  On the strength of this week's win and his 6 other wins in the 2nd Half, Desmond is our 2nd Half YTD winner!  Fantastic job, Desmond!!!  Vicki fiinished 2nd, just 23 points back.  Those two sure had a spirted battle in the last few weeks, but Desmond's consistency helped him win out in the end.  Cheryl finished a distant 3rd, 131 points back.  Bill had a solid 4th place finish, 202 points back.  With his win this week, Lou catapulted himself over Keith to finish 5th for the half, 212 points back.  Keith had to settle for 6th, 269 points back.   After her strong victory in the 1st half of the season, Cheryl faltered a bit in the 2nd half.  But in the end, Cheryl  won the whole season, but by only 17 points over Vicki, who maintained a strong average in both halves to finish 2nd for the season.  Desmond's 2nd half victory coupled with his 1st half score put him 3rd for the entire season, just 20 points behind Cheryl.  Lou finished 4th overall, 116 points back.  Keith was 5th, 153 points back.  Bill was 6th, 250 points back.  Congratulations to all our winners!  As always, thanks to everyone for playing again this year!  It's been a lot of fun every week!  We hope you will join us for the Speedcouch Fantasy League again in 2017!  Until then, Lou and I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  Remember only 95 days until Daytona!!!

Desmond does it again! That makes his win total for the 2nd half of the season an impressive 7! Congratulations Desmond. Close behind, just as she is in the point standings, was Vicki. Bill had a strong 3rd place and the Funk Express got back into the tracks with a 4th place result. Desmond's win gives him a few more points padding over Vicki in the standings but at a meer 12 points, the 2nd half championship is very much up for grabs with one final race to determine the winner! A couple of spots further down could change hands with Homestead, but it seems like we're all just bystanders to Desmond & Vicki. Good luck at Homestead everyone and thanks for playing this year!

Well Keith somehow stayed awake til the bitter end (we doubt that) to score the win in our group this week.  And most important, number 1 in the entire universe!!!  You are THE man, Keith!   Vicki was just 20 points back in 2nd in our grup and 30th in the nation.  Bill was 3rd, 24 points back and 48th in the nation.  A lot of our players had high finishes this week (6 out of 9 in the top 100 in the nation).  Unfortunately Lou, Clay and Richie weren't among them.  Desmond maintains the 2nd Half YTD lead over Vicki, but the margin shrinks to just 4 points with two races to go!  Cheryl remains in 3rd, now 61 points behind Desmond.  Bill remains in 4th, but is now only 168 back.  Keith's win allows him to draft past Lou into 5th, now only 192 out of the lead.  Only two races left to see who takes home the trophy!  Next up, Phoenix.

Bill pulled a Jimmie Johnson and smoked the field at Martinsivlle getting his 4th win of the half!  He also finished 36th in the entire universe!  Lou was 2nd, 4 points back and 56th in the nation.  Desmond & Cheryl had a dead heat and tied for 3rd this week, 18 points back and 124th in the nation.  Awesome job to us all!!!  Unfortunately, our leader Vicki, didn't have such a great week, finishing back in 7th this week.  That coupled with Desmond's strong 3rd place finish has Desmond taking over the 2nd Half YTD lead again this week.  Looks like this is going to be a battle to the bitter end between Desmond and Vicki!  Cheryl remains in 3rd, now just 66 points behind Desmond. Bill remains in 4th, but his win allowed him to move to within 175 points of the lead.  Lou's strong finish allowed him to draft past Keith and take over the 5th position, now 219 out.  Keith drops to 6th, 223 points back.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  Now on to Texas, one of the most useless tracks on the circuit.

Desmond got the win this week by edging Lou at the line by ONE point!  His 6th win of the 2nd Half also placed Des,pmd 52nd in the nation this week.  Lou's 2nd place finish placed him 54th in the nation.  Cheryl was 3rd this week, 20 points back and placing 121st in the nation.  Vicki's 4th place finish was close enough to allow her to retain the 2nd Half YTD lead, now just 22 points ahead of Desmond in 2nd and 88 points ahead of Cheryl in 3rd.  The rest of the standings remain the same, with everyone but Lou falling even further behind.  Lou remains in 6th place and is now ONLY 255 points out.  Thanks to everyone for playing!  We go from NASCAR largest track to it's smallest next week at Martinsville!
