schedule and shows on ESPN can be found at the following link

Just in case anyone wants to plan to tape any of them.  The three day thing starts on Dec. 9th and ends the 11th.

They started on the first.  So far I have taped every one of them while watching.  Great to see what coverage used to be like before all the bells and whistles.  Just racing.

ESPN Classic has a good lineup of races involving Dale Earnhardt, but there is two races missing from that lineup.

1. 1994 Spring Race at Talladega-Earnhardt's charge in the final 8 laps
to the win.  The final laps included fierce challenges from drivers like
Ernie Irvan & Michael Waltrip.
2. 2000 Winston 500 at Talladega-Earnhardt's final career win  Earnhardt
made up 10 spots in 6 laps with the help of Kenny Wallace to win.

Otherwise, good lineup of races

Also missing the 98 Daytona 500, and the 2000 'Dega race...his last win.  But they'vs shown BOTH Bristol races (with Terry LaBonte).

The 1998 Daytona 500 is missing because that footage is not part of ESPN's library.  All the Daytona 500s before 2001 were on CBS.

I think they only have access to the ones that were originally telecast on ESPN or ABC.  I have taped a couple and will tape more toward the end of the week.

Did anyone read the article on Jayski about why the '3' is different in the movie?

The 2000 Winston 500 was shown on ABC, and in fact ESPN has shown it before, especially just after Earnhardt died.  I don't know why ESPN Classic omitted it this time, unless it wanted a balance of NASCAR and IROC programming.
