Here's an article about the TV coverage last week that I just saw on Jayski and thought was very good:

The author makes some excellent points.

See, Cheryl?  I told you I hadn't read any comments on the race last Sunday that were very complimentary.

Cheryl, I too read that article yesterday.  While the author makes some valid points, I still think that race would have been boring even IF they would have taken heed to her point of view.  I have already reached the point of knowing that fox's coverage of the race is going be nothing but donkey ears nonsense anyway, that's a given.  With that said, nothing could have saved that race from being, at best, minimally exciting. With just one groove it was typical cookie cutter action. It's the reason why I looking forward with high antipication at this weeks race at AMS.  Daytona was so so, Rockingham saved the best for last but still paled in comparison to other Rackingham races. Las Vegas was indeed sin city, that race was BORING.  AMS shoud bring back some real racing.

Title: Vegas RAce

I just read in my Scene update that the ratings for Vegas were DOWN 16% from last year.  Maybe the "Chase" format is already having repercussions for Fox.  Or the "quality" of their coverage has made an impression.  Or, the fans know when the race is at a track that's worth watching.  Very interesting!
