Title: 600 What?
Post by: Cheryl on April 06, 2010, 02:23:48 PM
Okay, I give up...what exactly does the "600" in the race title denote this week?  We know it sure as heck isn't 600 miles since they usually only run like 300 laps at Phoenix.

Perhaps since the race is sponsored by Subway, it's for 600 carbs or something.

Unfortunately, we saw the typical bad coverage from Fox last night.  The director cutting away from side-by-side racing to show something else, DW babbling aimlessly, and too many in-car shots that are nothing but commercials.  Then, at one point where they spent about five minutes advertising some stupid "brakets" game for DirecTV.  Kept the radio on MRN during that time, thankfully, to actually hear some race coverage.

DW sounded very tired last night, but that didn't keep him from trying to talk aimlessly.  Perhaps, he ought to take a week off sometime...

That race was to be about 600 kilometers, or 375 miles, long.  It was extended by seven laps due to green-white-checkered.
