Title: Memphis Race Moved to Other Channels
Post by: Cheryl on October 10, 2008, 02:33:25 PM
Now this is interesting...

I remember there were some conflicts with this race on ESPN last year.  Again, I have to ask why commit to showing so many live sporting events all at once???

That's the same arrangement that was put together at the last minute for the Richmond race in May, as you recall.

Some factors behind the move this time:
*ESPN will carry the second day of the Breeders' Cup horse races from California.
*ESPN2 will simulcast some games from ABC's later coverage of college football.
*Last year's race was bounced around from channel to channel and there was no post-race coverage at all.
