Title: McLaughlin's Article on MI
Post by: Cheryl on June 21, 2006, 12:41:10 PM
He's makes a lot of good points, especially the one about two Waltrips in the booth being cruel and unusual punishment, but I don't agree with everything he says.  He really needs to get his facts right sometimes too.  I'm pretty sure I was at Martinsville last year when Jeff Gordon won the spring race and I think he won there in fall too.   ;)

And I sure hope he's wrong about the Japanese national anthem, but with the way NA$CAR is drooling over thei entrance of the manufacturer, nothing would surprise me.

Lastly, I pretty much agree on so many bad tracks over the next couple months, though Daytona can be decent.  Add Indy and Watkins Glen to the snorers in my book.  Also , I fall into that "what if" scenario for MI.  Very unsatisifying.

To answer Matt McLaughlin's question about why they play the Canadian national anthem: there are lots of Canadian fans there, as well as at Watkins Glen.  Both tracks are within 100 miles of the border.

By the way, our Brenden was one of them! :D
