Title: Matt McLaughlin article
Post by: Desmond on May 21, 2004, 09:19:20 PM
In his latest article on RacingOne, Matt McLaughlin predicts that Darlington will be completely off the schedule in 2006, with the Mother's Day weekend date (as of 2005) moved to Kansas or Las Vegas.

He also implies that Martinsville will remain on the Nextel Cup schedule only as long as there is no track in New York City or Seattle (which is not that hard to figure out).

If anyone thinks that Darlington or Martinsville will still have Cup races after 2007, I want some of what you're smoking.

Matt's article certainly echoed the feelings of any real race fans.

Last week when I heard that ISC had bought Martinsville, I figured it would be about 2 years before we lose one or both of those races.  Disgusting!
