Title: "Everything's up to date"
Post by: Desmond on October 09, 2005, 07:55:55 AM
With the Nextel Cup Series in Kansas City, KS this weekend, this prompts a question from me.

I have heard the expression, "everything's up to date in Kansas City."  What is the origin or source of this expression?  Someone out there should know the answer.

Desmond, I believe it is in reference to the lyrics of a song from (I think) "Oklahoma"...."Everything's Up To Dte in Kansas City".

Thus I give you another piece of useless trivia I have aquired over the years.

Thanks, Sally!

A reminder: I still need to know whether the punishment I gave my character Buddy Wayne is based on NASCAR reality.  The original posting is under "Buddy Wayne gets SHAFTED!" if you've forgotten.

This goes for Vivian, 17RoushFan, and ronbarnes777 as well.  I know that this is my audience.  (Cheryl and Lou don't care for my site.)
