Title: Darlington Ad
Post by: sally on April 15, 2005, 02:07:09 AM
Has anyone else noticed that great ad for the Darlington race?  Instead of some cheesy rap music, they use a piece from The New World Symphony by Dvorak.   The copy goes..."The Lady.  The Gentlemen.  The Dance."  It's a real attention grabber for me.

Nope have not heard it. I did hear in Sirius Speedway that there is going to be a ton of money dumped into Darlington for upgrades including paving the track.

Well, that's good news, Brian!  I would hope if they are planning on doing that, they will at least keep their one race.  ISC doesn't usually throw money away for nothing.  But then, they have plenty of it to spare these days.  Unfortunately, I can see them spending some on improvements, then turning around and writing it off as a tax deduction if they take away their remaining date.

But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they remember the great racing the track produces.

It's the best ad for a race weekend I have ever seen!  What a tribute to the legacy of the past and the excitement of the present.
